# Add and remove favorite foods, recipes, and meals

If you have favorite foods, meals, or recipes, you can add them to your list of favorite items in Carb Manager, which can help you to find and log foods more quickly.

**Tip:** When you add foods to [My Foods](/docs/en/find-foods-recipes-and-meals) or create [custom foods](/docs/en/create-custom-foods), [custom recipes](/docs/en/create-custom-recipes), and [custom meals](/docs/en/create-custom-meals), Carb Manager automatically marks those items as a favorite.

To add or remove a favorite item, complete these steps.

1. Web app users: Go to the [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/home.svg) **Daily Log.**
2. Select [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/add.svg) **Add Item** > [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/add-food-btn.svg) **Add Food**or select [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/meals.svg)Meals.
3. [Find a food, recipe, or meal](/docs/en/find-foods-recipes-and-meals) that you want to add to your list of favorite items.
4. Select the [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/favorite-black-not-selected.svg) **Heart** to add a favorite item, or select the [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/favorite-red.svg) **Heart**to remove a favorite item.**Tip:** When you add a favorite item, a heart appears in the picture of that item.
