# Ease into your diet

Carb Manager can automatically adjust your calories/kilojoules and macros from a maintenance diet (40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat) to your goal diet over several days. You won’t lose as much weight during this period, but the transition may be easier.

1. Go to [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/avatar-menu-settings.svg) **Settings**.
2. In the Goals section, select [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/calculator.svg) **Macros Calculator**.
3. Go to the Ease Into Diet section, select **Show**, and turn on the **Ease Into My Diet**setting.**Note:** The option to ease into your diet is not available if you [turned on Smart Macros](/docs/maintain-macro-goals-with-smart-macros).
4. Choose the number of days that you want to transition into your diet.
5. Go to the bottom of the screen and select **Apply Macros Goals**.

**Note:** When you enable **Ease Into My Diet**, your carb goals, macros goals, or calorie/kilojoule goals may be different in the daily log than what you initially set up in the Macros Calculator.**Note:** You can turn off this setting before the end date. Also, you can restart this setting at any time.
