# Generate and print shopping lists

If you are a [Premium member](/docs/en/subscribe-to-carb-manager-premium) and [started a meal plan](/docs/en/start-a-meal-plan), you can generate a shopping list from the foods in the meal plan and foods that are logged for a future date, such as [recurring food](/docs/en/log-recurring-food-automatically).

**Tip:** Premium members can [create custom meal plans](/docs/en/create-custom-meal-plans-1), use [meal plans curated by Carb Manager’s chefs](/docs/en/find-foods-recipes-and-meals), and have Carb Manager [generate meal plans](/docs/en/generate-meal-plans).

To create a shopping list for meals, select the dates you want to shop for and whether you want to shop based on full recipes or for a specific number of people. Carb Manager calculates the amount of food that you should buy, organizes the list based on the type of food, and identifies the foods that are in each recipe. You can change the items in the shopping list as needed, and mark items off the list while you shop.

**Tip:** Carb Manager displays one shopping list at a time. If you want to create multiple lists, print and download a list before you generate a new list.
