# Hide foods, recipes, and meals from lists

As you [find foods, recipes, and meals](/docs/en/find-foods-recipes-and-meals) in Carb Manager, the filters below the **Search** field provide another way for you to view lists of items, including frequently eaten foods, recently viewed foods, and favorites. When a list gets long, you can hide items to see fewer choices in the list.

1. Web app users: Go to the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/home.svg) **Daily Log**.
2. Select [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/add.svg) **Add Item** > [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/add-food-btn.svg) **Add Food**.
3. In the food selection screen, do either of the following steps to view a list of foods.
  - Select the **All** tab, then select **Frequently Eaten**, **Recently Viewed**, or **Favorites** from the drop-down list below the search field and buttons.
  - Select the **Quick Find** tab, then select the **Favorites**, **Recently Viewed**, or **Frequently Eaten** button below the search field.
4. When you see a food that you want to hide, select the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/expander.svg) **Expander** near the side of the item, then select **Hide**.

The item no longer appears in the list.

**Tip:** The item reappears in the applicable list if you find and view the food, [add it to your daily log](/docs/en/log-one-or-more-foods), or [add it as a favorite item](/docs/en/add-and-remove-favorite-foods-recipes-and-meals).
