# Import recipes

If you have a [Premium subscription](/docs/en/subscribe-to-carb-manager-premium), you can import recipes from some websites into Carb Manager.

**Tip:** The quality of the imported recipe depends on the quality of the source recipe. If Carb Manager can’t import all or some of the recipe, you can [create a custom recipe](/docs/en/create-custom-recipes) instead.

1. Web app users: Go to the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/home.svg) **Daily Log**
2. Select ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/add.svg)**Add Item** > [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/add-food-btn.svg) **Add Food.**
3. Select ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/add-item.svg) **Add** > **Import Recipe**.
4. Enter the URL (website address) for the recipe.**Important!** Be sure to enter the URL for the main recipe, not a URL for an image slideshow or other content that appears with a recipe.
5. Select **Import**.

The recipe view pops up providing information about serving size, preparation time, cooking time, instructions, ratings and reviews, and nutrition information.

You can add the recipe to your log, or find it later in My Foods or your favorites list where it’s been automatically saved. For details, see [Find foods, recipes, and meals](/docs/en/find-foods-recipes-and-meals) and [Edit custom recipes](/docs/en/edit-custom-recipes)
