# Set a ketone testing method

You can measure ketone levels by a urine test, blood test, or breath test. Select your usual testing method to receive the most accurate data when you [log ketone readings](/docs/log-ketones).

1. Go to [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/avatar-menu-settings.svg) **Settings**.
2. In My Settings, select [Embedded object](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/settings-app.svg) **App Settings**.
3. In the Units section, select **Ketones Measured**and choose one of the following options.
  - **Urine Test (AcAc)**
  - **Blood Test (BHB)****Tip:** When [Premium](/docs/subscribe-to-carb-manager-premium) members log Ketone and Blood Glucose measurements, Carb Manager will automatically calculate the Glucose Ketone Index, which provides insight into your overall metabolic health and level of ketosis. Select **Blood Test (BHB)** as your ketone testing method, then log Beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) Ketone and Blood Glucose measurements for the same meal. For details, see [Calculate the Glucose Ketone Index](/docs/calculate-the-glucose-ketone-index-gki).**Tip:** If you have the Keto Mojo® app, you can automatically add blood glucose and ketone measurements to Carb Manager. For details, see [Sync Keto Mojo blood glucose and ketones with Carb Manager](/docs/en/sync-keto-mojo-device-with-carb-manager).
