# View your feed and post messages

When you visit the Connect area of Carb Manager, the My Feed section of the screen displays recent messages that you posted to your feed and messages between you and your friends. It also shows recent activities that you and [your friends](/docs/en/add-and-manage-friends) have done in Carb Manager, such as [creating a recipe](/docs/en/create-custom-recipes) and [joining a Carb Manager Challenge](/docs/en/join-a-carb-manager-challenge).

**Tip:** To change the name that appears when you send messages to friends, see [Change your public username](/docs/en/change-your-public-name).

## View your feed

1. Go to ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/community.svg) **Connect** in the main menu.
2. Select the **Profile** tab if it’s not already selected.
3. Go to the **My Feed** section to view messages and see what your friends are doing in Carb Manager.

**Note:** If you [remove a friend](/docs/en/add-and-manage-friends), your message history, and your ability to message each other will remain. If at any time you notice inappropriate messages, use the ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/flag-green.svg) Flag feature to report it to Carb Manager.**Tip**: You can “like” messages in your feed by tapping the heart symbol ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/image-1603969583056.png).

## Post a message to your feed

All of your friends in Carb Manager can view messages that you post to your feed.

**Tip:** To view, send, and manage all message history with individual friends, see [Chat with friends, and manage messages](/docs/en/chat-with-friends-and-manage-messages).

1. Go to ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/community.svg) **Connect** in the main menu.
2. Select the **Profile** tab if it’s not already selected.
3. In the **My Feed** section, enter a message in the field near the top of the screen. Or find a message in your feed that you want to reply to, select **Reply** below the message, and enter your message in the field that appears below the message.
4. Select ![](https://cdn.document360.io/39f753db-7167-486f-a297-e9dee7536f7d/Images/Documentation/send-green.svg) **Send**. Your message appears in the friend’s message feed and your message feed on the Profile tab.

Recipients receive email and device notifications (if enabled) when they have new messages in Carb Manager.
