Why join a challenge? We hear every week from members tell us how important the challenge was for them in starting their diet off on the right foot, getting back on track, or pushing through a difficult period. Why not give it a try? 

You can join a challenge at any time. A new challenge starts every Monday and runs for 4 weeks.

How the Challenge Works 

Once you join a challenge, you can earn points by logging your foods, keeping under your carb goal, hitting your macros, drinking enough water, and exercising. The top individual scorers will appear in a leaderboard. You can even connect with these other participants to get motivated. The maximum points per day is 130.

While Carb Manager calculates your scores automatically based on what you log, there is an honor system component to this challenge. Please play fair and be honest to see your best results!

Important: You must apply your points at the end of each day in My Daily Log or they won't get credited! This process is described below.

Joining the Challenge

As mentioned, you can join a challenge at any time. Select Community from the main (left) navigation menu, and select the Challenge tab. 

The Rules subtab appears, providing you with general challenge information, including the dates for the current challenge, as well as the Join The Challenge button. 

After you select the Join The Challenge button, review the Medical Disclaimer that appears, and select Join.

A confirmation message appears at the top of the Rules subtab, and includes the day the challenge ends. 

Checking Your Progress

You can check both your daily and overall progress (points) in the challenge from My Daily Log.

You can also check your current standing in the overall challenge using the Leaderboard subtab (described below).

Applying Your Daily Points

At the end of each day of the challenge, when you're done logging your food, be sure to apply your points using the I'm Done Today! Apply My Points button on My Daily Log (below your food entries). Remember, the maximum points per day is 130.

Connecting with Others in the Challenge

Select the Connect subtab to see what other participants are saying and add your own thoughts to the conversation. 

Read any posts that interest you, or chime in with your own comments. You can add a new post (using the Write something box at the top of the tab), or reply to an existing post using the Reply link that appears below the post.

Tip: Select any listed participant's user name to send that user a friend request. 

Viewing the Leaderboard

Select the Leaderboard subtab to see where you stand compared to everyone else.

Leaving a Challenge

You can leave the current challenge at any point by selecting the Quit Challenge button on the Rules subtab.

Didn't mean to leave? No worries. Just select the Join The Challenge button again to get right back in it!
