Article summary

When you set a meal goal, Carb Manager divides your day’s total macro and energy goals into multiple, manageable portions to help you meet your daily goals. Carb Manager automatically assigns an equal portion of your daily macro goals to each meal and assigns a smaller portion to one snack. Macro portions appear as a percentage of calories or kilojoules, depending on your preferred unit of measurement.

Tip: If you follow the Keto diet and have a low carb tolerance, meal goals can help you avoid consuming too many carbs at once, which can kick you out of Ketosis.

If you have a Premium membership, you can customize meal goals so they match your normal routine. For example, if you typically eat a larger breakfast and smaller dinner, you can adjust your meal goals to reflect this preference. Or, as a Premium member, you can turn off meal goals.

  1. Go to Settings icon Settings.
  2. In the Goal Settings section, select Meal icon Meal.
  3. Turn on the Enable Meal Goals option.
  4. For each meal, use the slider to set the percentage of daily calories or kilojoules that you want to consume.
Important: The total of all meals must be 100 percent. The total appears at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Select Apply Meal Goals.

Your goals appear in each meal section of the daily log. Carb Manager tracks your progress as you log food for each meal.

Tip: If you turn on daily meal reminders and set meal goals, your meal reminders include your carbs goal for each meal.
