Some products marketed to the low carb community use sugar alcohols as a sweetener. This is because sugar alcohols are generally not effectively metabolized by the body. As a result, sugar alcohols can be subtracted from total carbs, along with fiber, to produce net carbs.
Some of our data sources do not include sugar alcohols in the nutrition information they provide for branded foods.
We've created a feature where you can add sugar alcohol values directly to our database.
Follow these steps to manually edit the nutritional information and add the sugar alcohol data.

Then, scroll down to the bottom of the detailed food nutrition information screen, select Report Error, then confirm.
We'll review and then update the food in our global database with the custom value that you've entered.
