While we do our best to ensure the accuracy of our food database, there are occasional errors. If you find errors in branded foods or member contributions, please help us verify the food by sharing photos of food packaging. You may also report nutritional errors.
The source of data for each food is listed in the food’s Nutrition Facts section.
To help us verify branded foods or member contributions, complete these steps.
- Web app users: Go to the Daily Log.
- Find the food that has the error and open its detail screen. To do so, complete one of the following steps.
- If you have already logged the food, select the food’s entry in the daily log.
- If you haven’t logged the food, select Add Item > Add Food, then select a food to view its details.
- Go to the Nutrition Facts section after the Source information and select Help us verify this food to begin the verification submission process.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to submit photos of the food’s nutrition label, front of the package, and the barcode. Note: The reporting feature is not available for foods that are labeled as Common Food because we know their nutrition and supplemental data are accurate.Tip: To change a food’s nutrition or supplemental information, see View and edit nutrition information in foods, recipes, and meals.
