Create custom exercises

Article summary

If you can’t find an exercise in our database, you can create a custom cardio or strength exercise which you can add to the daily log. When you create a custom exercise, Carb Manager automatically adds it to your My Exercises list and your favorite exercises list so you can find it later.

Create cardio exercises

  1. Web app users: Go to the Daily Log.
  2. Select  Add Item(image of Exercise button) Exercise.
    Tip: You can also go to the Daily Workout section of the Daily Log and select the Add Exercise button.
  3. In the Exercises screen, select Options > Create Cardio Exercise.
  4. In the Custom Cardio screen, complete the following steps to name and describe the exercise.
    1. Enter a name for the exercise.
    2. Select the difficulty of the exercise.
    3. Select the typical workout length.
    4. Select the typical calories or kilojoules you burn.
    5. Select Add Exercise.

The screen for your custom cardio exercise opens to the Log tab, where you can select Add to log the exercise.

Tip: To change details about this exercise in the future, see Edit custom exercises.

Create strength-training exercises

  1. Web app users: Go to the Daily Log.
  2. Select  Add Item > (image of Exercise button) Exercise.
    Tip: You can also go to the Daily Workout section of the  Daily Log and select the Add Exercise button.
  3. In the Exercises screen, select Options > Create Strength Exercise.
  4. In the Custom Strength screen, complete the following steps to name and describe the exercise.
    1. Enter a name for the exercise.
    2. Select the muscle groups strengthened by the exercise.
    3. Select the equipment needed to complete the exercise.
    4. Select the difficulty of the exercise.
    5. Select Add Exercise.

 The custom strength-training exercise opens to the Log tab, where you can select Add to log the exercise.
