Article summary

If you are a Premium member and started a meal plan, you can generate a shopping list from the foods in the meal plan and foods that are logged for a future date, such as recurring food.

To create a shopping list for meals, select the dates you want to shop for and whether you want to shop based on full recipes or for a specific number of people. Carb Manager calculates the amount of food that you should buy, organizes the list based on the type of food, and identifies the foods that are in each recipe. You can change the items in the shopping list as needed, and mark items off the list while you shop.

Tip: Carb Manager displays one shopping list at a time. If you want to create multiple lists, print and download a list before you generate a new list.

Generate a shopping list

  1. If you haven’t already started a meal plan, or planned recurring foods, do so now.
  2. Select  Meals.
  3. Select the Shopping List tab.
  4. Select Dates Shopping For to open a calendar, then select a start date and end date.
  5. In the # People Shopping For field, enter the number of people that you will feed each day.
  6. Optional: If you want Carb Manager to create a shopping list based on full recipes, which may result in leftovers, leave the Include ingredients for full recipe yield option turned on. If you want Carb Manager to scale recipes to match the number of people that you’re shopping for, turn off that option.
  7. Select Generate Shopping List.
  8. Review the list.
