You may find your nutrition supplements when you search our database, but our food database lacks complete nutrition information on many supplements. We recommend that you log most nutrition supplements in the same way that you would create and log a custom food, as described in this article.
Tip: If you have a Premium subscription, you can show or hide a section named Supplements in the daily log. For details, see Customize meal sections in the daily log.
- Web app users: Go to the Daily Log.Tip: The daily log opens to today’s date. To log an item to a different date, select a date from the top of the screen. For more information, see View any day in the daily log.
- Select Add Item > Add Food. In the screen that opens, Carb Manager selects the meal or snack that is closest to the current time of day, but you can select a different meal type from the list at the top of the screen.Tip: You can also go to the section in the Daily Log for the type of meal that you want to log, such as Supplements, and select the Add Food button.Tip: If you’re a Premium member, you can change the time that a meal, snack, or supplement occurs. For details, see Set time ranges for meals, snacks, and supplements.
- In the food selection screen, search for a supplement by its name or description. For more information, see Find foods, recipes, and meals.Tip: If you can’t find a supplement, create a custom food for the supplement.
- Log the supplement or custom food as you would log any food. For details, see Log one or more foods.Tip: If you are fasting and try to log a supplement during a fasting window, Carb Manager will remind you that you are currently fasting and give you the option to log your supplement and continue fasting..Tip: If you regularly consume the same supplement every day or on certain days, you can set an option to automatically log the supplement. For details, see Log recurring food automatically.
The supplement and its nutrition information appear in the daily log. Carb Manager automatically adds the item to the meal, snack, or supplement that is closest to the current time.
Tip: If you have a Premium subscription, you can change the time when a meal, snack, or supplement occurs. For details, see Set time ranges for meals, snacks, and supplements.
